“Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers.” – Harry S. Truman
As I contemplated this quote, I thought of all the great readers I know and how different they all are. To be certain there are a few leaders, but most are entertainers, nurturers, seekers and creatives. In the field of ideas, there lies a sea of phrases, comments and key words that nail what the author has wanted to transmit to the other side – to the reader. If that reader is not interested or skims over a sentence, the genius is lost. It is when the reader and the writer meet at the same apex and mount, that the magic occurs, transforming both the giver and the receiver, albeit at different points in time but on the same wavelength.
“What say you?” – Paris asks Capulet.
