The thin mountain air

I breathe

West afternoon sun setting

A chilly nip outside

I sense

Boulders, pine cones and needles strewn

An exquisite landscape

Chipmunks scampering

I observe

Holiday tunes brightening

Fire warming

I decorate

 The Steger tree house

Inspiring hideaway

Getaway

An escape and a destination

 An awakening to a new reality

Heaven sent but Earth bound

I ponder

Lovely recluse has found her solitary altar
