Goddess Musing

You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore – Suzanne Warner Pierot

If you are contemplating the field trip on May 3rd, let the above inspire you.

As I get more feedback, We can plan an overnight yoga retreat as well.

Last night’s Yogamat practice was incredible.  The entire room felt like a womb.  I am blessed to know the yogis that come to my classes, all of them.  Everyone’s energy contributes to the whole.

New class in Arrowhead and a Field Trip!!!

As of yesterday, I have the opportunity and am blessed to teach a class at the Curves on Grass Valley X Clubhouse in Lake Arrowhead environs on most Saturdays at 11am-12:20.  The owner Candy is one super beautiful goddess and synchronicity brought us together.  The first class will be a love donation.  If you are so compelled, after class you can contribute your gratitude into the love basket.  This is a great opportunity if you have ever wanted to try gentle and healing yoga, have any physical limitations, are in desperate need of shutting down your mind chatter, are a Type A who would like to learn how to slow down, enjoy the serenity of meditation, are willing to explore your inner self, etc… the list goes on….all the benefits.  Also, if you want a day trip up to the mountains.

To the lovely ladies up the hill, looking forward to meeting you all.

Speaking of which; on Thursday May 3rd – I will be heading up to Lake Arrowhead and I invite you to join me for a day.  We will leave from my house at 8:15 and will tour the lake on a paddle boat, then eat at a Thai restaurant.  If we are so – inclined (lol) we can shop and stroll around the lake.  There are 2 wonderful art galleries!!  We will leave @ 2:30pm. I have enough space for 6 but we can always caravan.

I would be happy to make it an over nighter and add yoga, a hike and meditation if I get enough interest. Maybe even a trip to Curves if we are feeling very active and/or kayacking  on Lake Gregory nearby.  My cabin is nearby and we can crash with sleeping bags if there are many of us. We can do an evening practice by the fireplace and then just have tea and cookies before bedtime. Let me know your thoughts.  Seeya in class.  I will fill you in on prices once we know if it is a day or overnight.

subbing on Friday and goddess musings for the day

I am blessed to sub 2 classes back to back on Friday the 20th, for Soul at Home at 5:25 – 6:25 Restorative and at 6:30 – 7:55 Candlelight Flow (this is an all levels class-everyone is welcome).

Thought and Affirmation for the day:  I reconcile the inexcusable and unforgivable moments of my life by remembering the positive segments and acknowledging the  beneficial lessons.  Bitterness and resentment slowly transform into sweet memories of flawed human nature that we all share and the gifts of love and caring.

I wrote this because even though I must go through a process of grief, anger, and/or trouble… I also want to remind myself of the solution.  Perhaps the suffering I put myself through will be shortened and the wisdom I acquire will be deeper felt.

technical difficulties

So, I thought all I had to do was add a page and I could just add away.  It seems this is where I am supposed to be musing.  That’s ok. This will do. If you are new, check out all my pages.

Thought for the day:  The KEY to creativity (and may I add tranquility)  is knowing that my thinking creates my experience.

Affirmation: I USE this key in every area of my life. (Like today with my website snafu).

New page named goddess musings

Many of you have expressed an interest in a daily page so I have created this page and will attempt to update and add information on a frequent if not daily basis..

Feel free to comment or reply with your own thoughts or affirmations as always.

May we plant ourselves on the mat this week, cultivate our gardens within and create inner sanctuaries for our minds, body and soul.

Namaste, Cecilia

Theme: the garden

We will begin with a garden meditation in a comfortable position. Here we will focus on our best qualities and cultivate them as our seed is planted.  Using affirmations, we will feed our roots  and nourish the medium we are grown in.

And then, we will move gently into stretch poses to help us sprout and begin to awaken.

Next, we will incorporate gentle sun salutations to help us grow and become strong. As we reach for the sun we will build up our own cells and tissue.  Moving with our breath we will build upon the photosynthesis within ourselves and chemically invigorate our bodies.

Soon after, we will bloom and rest in beauty; basking in our restorative poses.

And finally, we will re-seed and regenerate life as we lay down for the corpse pose, savasna.

Theme: Pure White Elegant Clarity

Imagine porcelain egg white gloss or transparent milkiness. The pearly color of goodness, purity, elegance and clarity. Each of us may ask ourselves this week: How does openness feel? What does lucidity look like? Where am I full of grace? When do I acknowledge and/or demonstrate frankness, sincerity and simplicity?
When you experience wholeness-less is perceived as more. Your focus and purpose become clear.
Meditating on pure white light can clarify and enlarge our vision. Observing our own sense of and acts of virtue and integrity can brighten our aura AND our inner selves. Committing to continual candid self-refection and simultaneously shining pure, clean energy within and without-transforms us; molding us into transparent loving beings, guided by innocent yet infinitely wise intention.
The essence of elegance is knowing your true north and radiating it out with polished individual style.
Come join us this week as we flow with grace and purity of form, meditate with white light clarity and relax into the stillness; healing our ivory inner nature.
And may this week’s message and practice essentially bring us to a place of kindness, dignity and reverence for the divine in each and every one of us; all the while protecting ourselves, nursing our own wounds and re- building upon our own character and behavior.

Songs from the Chakra 5 playlist

Many of you have requested the names of the melodious songstresses from this week’s playlist.  Snatam Kaur sang Ong Namo Guredev Namo – the song we sang during parts of restorative.  She is a French Kundalini yoga singer.  Very famous.  Also, Deva Premal, a german female vocalist sang Om Namo – hari om namo narayanaWah! is the name of the singer who sang Om Namah Shivaya.

All these mantras are an expression of reverence to the most high and each one of these ladies sing beautifully;  with great respect, love and devotion.  I believe that comes through in their music.

Next time I hear of a Kirtan or Chanting Group visiting us locally, we will get a group together to go. I will keep my ears pealed.

Thank you all for the wonderful energy this week and enjoy your Easter/Passover weekend.

Chakra 5 Theme

Please check my new Price Rates Page!!

The 5th Chakra is located inside the throat.  The chakra known as Vishuddha (sanskrit for Great Purity) governs speech, sound and hearing.  It encompasses the neck, cervical ganglia nerve, mouth, ears, respiratory system, thyroid and parathyroid glands.  It is important to note chakra 5 includes the auditory system as well as the acoustic sensations.  It IS your communication center!

Listening deeply, developing your inner voice, and expressing your creative, authentic self are all aspects of this energy center.

Most often, the colors associated with Vishuddha are light blue, sky blue and aqua.  Aquamarine, Blue Topaz and Turquoise are gems that resonate with the Language Chakra.

I will have Chakra 5 Goddess Juice available and we will move and stretch primarily the neck and your vocal chords so come ready to sigh, hum and sing!!!

Great Affirmations to integrate into your Positive Self-Talk tapes:

“I express myself clearly”        and         “I have the right to be heard”

Recipe for steam inhalation bath:  This is great for nasal blockages, sinus infections, coughs, colds and sore throats.  If you are experiencing any one of these conditions, your throat chakra may be struggling to keep infections away and ask yourself what am I not saying? listening to? stifling?

1. Boil 4 cups of water and pour it into a bowl.

2. Add 10 drops of essential oil or fresh herbs (try rosemary, thyme, lavender, chamomile      or sage).

3. Put a towel over your head, close your eyes and inhale the vapor for a few minutes at a time, for up to 15 minutes.

MAY ALL YOUR COMMUNICATIONS THIS WEEK EVOKE LOVE AND TRUTH
